Across Asia Pacific, the energy drinks market is gaining momentum, driven by growing consumer demand for beverages that offer not only refreshment but also an added boost of energy. This trend is particularly pronounced in younger consumers who seek convenient, functional drinks to support their active lifestyles.
Recognising this shift, Swire Coca‑Cola has strategically expanded its presence in the energy drink sector. Our partnership with Monster Energy®, one of the most popular brands in this sector, plays an increasingly important role in diversifying our beverage portfolio, supporting premiumisation and unlocking significant growth potential across our markets.

This strategy is reflected in strong performance across the region. In Chinese Mainland, Monster Energy® recorded a 45% volume increase in 2025, demonstrating robust consumer demand. Most recently, the portfolio was expanded with “Ultra Violet (Grape Flavour)”, the brand’s newest zero‑sugar variant in Hong Kong and Taiwan market. This addition responds to rising consumer preference for lower‑sugar and lower‑calorie options, while continuing to deliver on taste and Monster Energy’s distinctive brand attitude.
Beyond Greater China, Monster Energy® is now available across several of our markets, including Vietnam and the United States, and has recently entered the Thailand market, further strengthening our regional energy drink offering.


Thailand presents strong fundamentals for the energy drinks category. It ranks third within the country’s non‑alcoholic ready‑to‑drink (NARTD) market, with the premium energy drinks segment recording an average annual growth rate of around 34% in recent years.
A large, youthful population and an entertainment‑driven culture support consumption across occasions such as nightlife, music events, gaming and sports. These moments closely align with Monster Energy®’s positioning, which goes beyond functional energy to represent lifestyle, identity and experience.

Monster Energy® was officially launched in Thailand in January, starting with two core variants— “Green (Original Flavour)” (right) and “Ultra (Citrus)”(left). Nationwide sampling began in Bangkok in February, building awareness and encouraging trial among consumers.
