Celebrating Swire Coca-Cola's First Global Service Trip

In November, a passionate group of 30 volunteers from Swire Coca-Cola’s six global markets embarked on the company’s first ever Global Service Trip to the beautiful city of Siem Reap, Cambodia. For some, the adventure began with over 20 hours of travel; while for a few, it was their first international experience. United by a common cause, these volunteers dedicated themselves to giving back to the communities we serve.

Despite the scorching heat and unexpected rain showers of the "Kingdom of Wonder," our volunteers’ spirits remained unwavering. They engaged with local families to immerse themselves in the culture and rolled up their sleeves to help construct a new classroom for the Global Education Center (GEC). This classroom will also serve as a computer room and library, opening doors to new opportunities for local children.

In addition to supporting the GEC, our volunteers gained valuable insight into the community projects led by our Cambodian team. They participated in a tree-planting activity alongside local colleagues, planting approximately 250 trees in the community. They also visited Chea Lea Thom Primary School to learn about the Aqua Tower project, dedicated to providing clean water to local residents, and engaged students in hygiene education through fun, interactive games.
