Special Olympics Utah Winter Games

The power of partnerships was beautifully showcased in March at Special Olympics Utah's Winter Games, where athletes in Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding were featured. Through the collaboration with Snowbasin Resort, a ski resort near Ogden, Utah, and the sponsorship of Swire Coca-Cola, USA, the state's Special Olympics ski programme reached new heights. 

Special Olympics Utah provides year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through sports, athletes discover new strengths and abilities; develop greater skills and confidence, and experience added joy and fulfilment in their lives.

Our US team contributions to this event included: connecting Special Olympics Utah with Snowbasin Resort to host the games; sponsorship to elevate the programme; product donations; volunteers, and even a visit from the Coca-Cola Polar Bear, who passed out mini Polar Bear stuffed animals to the athletes. Volunteers served as timekeepers, and our employees who ski and snowboard had the unique opportunity to put on their gear and help the athletes on the slopes. 

This heartwarming collaboration between Snowbasin Resort, Swire Coca-Cola, and Special Olympics Utah exemplifies the extraordinary value of bringing our networks together to serve the greater good.
