This year, Swire Coca-Cola proudly celebrates six decades of partnership with The Coca-Cola Company as the franchised bottler and distributor of Coca-Cola and its brands in Hong Kong. Since 1965, when our journey began with a single bottling plant, Swire Coca-Cola has expanded its footprint to include 42 bottling plants across eight dynamic markets in Greater China, Southeast Asia, and the United States. This remarkable growth reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality products and refreshing experiences to the communities we serve.
To mark this significant milestone, our Hong Kong home market — Swire Coca-Cola HK (“SCCHK”) — has launched a series of celebratory activities under the theme “Refreshing Hong Kong for 60 Years.”
Our celebrations began in April with the SCCHK Active Run at GO PARK Sai Sha. Over 100 distinguished guests attended the opening ceremony, including community leaders, business partners, NGOs, and members of the media, and together with the more than 4,000 participants, all joined in celebrating this special occasion. Their presence highlighted the strong relationships we have cultivated over the years and the collective spirit that drives our continued success.
The SCCHK Active Run featured four main events designed for participants of all ages and abilities: the 3km and 6km races, a Family Fun Obstacle Run, and the Bonaqua® 100x100 Relay Race. In addition to the races, attendees enjoyed a vibrant array of workshops, interactive games, and on-site activities that created a festive atmosphere for all.
Attendees also captured special moments at our 60th Anniversary-themed photo spots and participated in engaging games, creating lasting memories.
A delightful selection of free-flowing beverages and tasty snacks was served, ensuring all participants stayed refreshed throughout the day. We also incorporated returnable glass bottles and reusable cups throughout the event, reflecting our dedication to sustainability.
