First launched in 2011, the iconic ‘Share a Coke’ campaign is back this year, giving consumers a unique opportunity to personalise their Coca-Cola cans and bottles.
The campaign has been rolled out with excitement across Swire Coca-Cola’s diverse regions – including Greater China and Southeast Asia – where consumers can now find Coca-Cola cans and bottles adorned with local names, playful nicknames, and colloquial slang. With a strategic focus on the Gen Z segment, the ‘Share a Coke’ campaign integrates digital and interactive elements, such as: an online platform for social sharing; striking outdoor creative pop-ups, and on-site customisation events.
In
Chinese Mainland, Coca-Cola bottles featured popular slang like Gan Fan Ren (food lovers) and Qi Fen Zu (vibe creators) that appeals to young consumers. Our China team also set up eye-catching interactive check-in points at high-traffic locations, encouraging consumers to take and share photographs online, thereby amplifying online engagement and enhancing offline brand visibility across the region.
In
Hong Kong SAR, limited edition Coca-Cola bottles featuring popular names and nicknames are now available across supermarkets, convenience stores, online platforms, and the Swire Coca-Cola HK eShop.
In the Taiwan region, the bottles incorporate clever wordplay and puns to delight consumers. At a dedicated campaign event, customers could create their own laser-engraved bottles with unique designs and names for a truly custom experience.
The campaign’s charm extends to Southeast Asia with localised flair. In
Vietnam, over 130 individual names and 20 common surnames, along with approximately 30 group names, are available nationwide, inspiring meaningful connections with loved ones. In
Cambodia, relationship titles like Favourite Persons, Bestie, and My Love encourage consumers to express appreciation for their loved ones.
In
Thailand, ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola partnered with a local fast-food brand to elevate the experience. Consumers can personalise their Coca-Cola cans with their names at over 200 branches across Thailand.
Celebrating the Return of ‘Share a Coke’ To mark the return of ‘Share a Coke,’ Swire Coca-Cola employees across the regions joined in the celebration, raising personalised cans and bottles in their offices.
