Swire Coca-Cola HK organised the "Coca-Cola® and the Bottle of Secrets" exhibition in June as a new range of returnable glass-bottled (RGB) beverages was rolled out. The exhibition showcased the evolution of the iconic Coca-Cola® glass bottle, while demonstrating how sustainability and the community are always at the heart of Swire Coca-Cola HK.
Not only were the old red crates of our returnable glass bottles upcycled to transform the exhibition space, but they were also given a second life as 12 sustainable products had been made from the rHDPE recycled materials. Designed by students from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design, the products were on display to raise public awareness towards environmental protection and social inclusion. One of the products "REDcognise Clips" aids the visually impaired and has been made available for purchase, with all proceeds earmarked for donation to the Hong Kong Society for the Blind.
