Fighting COVID-19 in Shanghai

In the first half of 2022, a new wave of COVID-19 swept across Shanghai as the Omicron variant spread. Shanghai Shen-Mei Beverage & Food Co., Ltd. ('Shanghai Shen-Mei'), a subsidiary of Swire Coca-Cola, joined hands with the local government to combat the virus during these difficult times.

The health and safety of employees, as well as the stability of product supply, are our top priorities as a socially responsible corporation. A "closed loop management" was enacted at our factories to minimise the risk of outbreak, and a bulk purchase service was launched to satisfy market demand during the lockdown.

The supply chain of Swire Coca-Cola China was continuously coordinated with other provinces to facilitate cross-province logistics, and this helped to ease the pressure of product supply in Shanghai. At the same time, 14 trucks from Shanghai Shen-Mei, Nantong assisted in the distribution of anti-epidemic items. As of June, Swire Coca-Cola had also donated over 300,000 bottles of beverages to frontline workers combatting the virus in local communities, hospitals, quarantine facilities and schools in Shanghai.
