U.S. Team Soars to the Top with Coca-Cola SPICED

For the first time in three years, The Coca-Cola Company has released a new permanent flavour to its flavour portfolio in North America – Coca-Cola SPICED!  

In Swire Coca-Cola’s U.S. market, Coke is our most popular product, accounting for approximately 67% of the total sales volume of all products. With the introduction of this innovation, we anticipate attracting a new generation of customers to the sparkling soft drink category, as well as drive growth of the “Coca-Cola” brand within the flavoured soda segment.

Blending the iconic taste of Coca‑Cola with a burst of refreshing notes from raspberry and spiced flavours, Coca‑Cola SPICED offers an uplifting taste experience. This flavour is the result of consumer demand — over 5 million raspberry servings were poured from the Coca-Cola Freestyle® dispenser, which serves an array of drinking options on demand as a way to test out new flavours and generate consumer insights.

Coca‑Cola SPICED will join Cherry and Vanilla as a flagship flavour offered to consumers. The last permanent addition to the lineup was Orange Vanilla in 2019.
Swire Coca-Cola, USA Gets Spicy for Coca-Cola SPICED Launch

Swire Coca-Cola, USA launched Coca-Cola SPICED in a variety of pack formats across all its markets in February, but the excitement and momentum started long before its release.

Leading up to the launch of SPICED, our U.S. team created promotional videos, showcasing Coca-Cola SPICED in production lines, warehouses, and trucks to get everyone excited for this brand-new product.
 

SPICED days were held throughout Swire Coca-Cola, USA’s 13-state territory after the official launch. Our people were dressed in pink SPICED gear as they hit the market with the sales team to create eye-catching product displays and stock shelves.

With the dedication of our sales force, Swire Coca-Cola, USA concluded launch week as the top-selling bottler, with over 250,000 cases of SPICED sold in the first week alone, making us number one at Walmart in terms of dollars sold per store. We also hold the number one Volume per Outlet for The Coca-Cola Company North America Operating Unit Bottling System in the first two weeks of the launch.

As a total beverage company, Swire Coca-Cola aligns with The Coca-Cola Company’s product strategy to optimise product portfolios, and we will continue to provide consumers with diversified product choices to meet their evolving tastes.
