Refreshing customers and consumers during the Lunar New Year

For most of Swire Coca-Cola's franchise areas, the Lunar New Year is one of the most important festivals. We strive to be a part of every annual festival, sharing the joy and fun with consumers through our refreshing products.

This year, each franchise region launched special product packaging for the Lunar New Year. The Chinese market presented a family of six rabbits across three generations on the packaging of Coca-Cola, showing the wonderful reunion moment of the Lunar New Year. The Hong Kong and Taiwan markets also launched packaging with rabbit images to echo the theme of the Year of the Rabbit; while the Vietnam market used golden swallows as product packaging patterns to symbolise all the blessings of the New Year.

Various markets displayed Coca-Cola’s New Year-themed packaging products in stores. Creative displays made of stacked products not only enhanced the festive atmosphere, but also attracted consumers. The front-line sales staff were busy visiting merchants to help improve store execution to achieve better sales performance.

To meet the needs of each local market, creative marketing campaigns were launched to welcome the New Year through a variety of online and offline activities. In the Greater China region, Coca-Cola launched an animated promotional video featuring rabbits to convey the heartfelt message of family reunion; the Coca-Cola mahjong redemption launched in the Hong Kong market attracted a great response from consumers; the Taiwan market launched a popular Coca-Cola kitchen utensils redemption campaign that made the Chinese New Year even more festive; and the Vietnam market took "Tet may change, the magic remains" as its theme, passing on the message that the warm moment of family reunion in the New Year will never change. At the same time, through cooperation with NGOs, New Year gift boxes were delivered to those in need in various communities in Vietnam.
