Supply Chain Centre in Hainan to coordinate still beverage business in China

Swire Coca-Cola completed the acquisition of the still beverage business of Coca-Cola Bottlers Manufacturing Holdings Limited (CCBMH). On 1 January 2023, Swire Coca-Cola assumed ownership of CCBMH’s six subsidiaries with its manufacturing and packaging businesses at Nanning, Hangzhou, Foshan, Wuhan, Dongguan and Suzhou on the Chinese Mainland.

To further optimise production efficiency and boost synergy in the supply chain, Swire Coca-Cola set up Swire Coca-Cola Supply Chain Management (Hainan) Company Limited, which will be responsible for the coordination and management of our business in the still beverage market of China. This will include the operation of production lines, procurement, sales and marketing, planning and investment in the future.  

The project is fully supported by the Hainan Provincial Government. During a visit made by Hainan officials in December, a signing ceremony was held between the Hainan Free Trade Port and the Swire Group in Hong Kong. A framework agreement was signed to mark the collaboration between Swire Coca-Cola and the Haikou Integrated Free Trade Zone on this project.

The grand opening ceremony of Swire Coca-Cola Supply Chain Management (Hainan) Company Limited was held on 5 January 2023. Lu Min, Vice Mayor of the Haikou Municipal of Hainan Province, and Xu Liang, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Haikou Integrated Free Trade Zone, represented the Government at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Also in attendance were Dang Jian, Chief Executive Officer of Swire Coca-Cola China, Zhang Xiaodong, General Manager - Supply Chain of Swire Coca-Cola, and Zhang Qing, General Manager of Swire Coca-Cola Supply Chain Management (Hainan) Company Limited.
