Swire Coca-Cola sponsors Kobe and Gianna basketball court
Honourable guests unveiled the renovated basketball court at the opening ceremony.
Swire Coca-Cola, USA sponsored one of the basketball courts for the Boys & Girls Club in Mesa, Arizona.
The Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation, founded through the vision and loving memory of legendary NBA player Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna Bryant, has partnered with Coca-Cola’s sports drink brand “BODYARMOR” to refurbish basketball courts across the US. The campaign aims to make basketball more accessible to children and to provide equal opportunities for boys and girls to participate in sports events.
Swire Coca-Cola strives to promote youth development; and through this campaign, we sponsored one of these basketball courts for the Boys & Girls Club in Mesa, Arizona. The unveiling of the basketball court was special as Natalia Bryant, daughter of Kobe Bryant, and Diana Taurasi, of the WNBA team Phoenix Mercury, were there to host a basketball clinic and answer questions from kids who attend the Boys & Girls Club.
Along with the Mesa Mayor, James Sloan, Chief Financial Officer of Swire Coca-Cola, USA was at the ribbon-cutting ceremony and spoke about the importance of partnerships and giving back to the communities we call home.
"Partnership and collaboration build thriving, resilient and prosperous communities,” said Jenifer Freeman, Director of Public Relations and Government at Swire Coca-Cola, USA. “We invest in partnerships with impactful organisations that strengthen communities.”
