Crowd-volunteering Initiative in Taiwan

At Swire Coca-Cola, our commitment goes beyond driving business growth - we also strive to create a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. By investing a portion of our profits in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Fund, we give back to society and support projects with significant social value. This year, our Taiwan team has introduced a ‘crowd-volunteering’ initiative, which is an innovative programme inspired by crowdfunding that encourages employees to support their local communities through volunteer service.

This initiative combines staff engagement with corporate backing by inviting employees to nominate non-profit organizations that they wish to help. Recipients of donations from our CSR Fund are then selected. As employees achieve various volunteer service hour targets, different amounts of sponsorship are unlocked to subsidise the community projects of the chosen charities. With total funding of up to NT$1,000,000, the program aims to accomplish 3,600 hours of volunteer service.

During the first phase of the initiative, over 500 employees took part in selecting ten charities that addressed service targets ranging from children with rare diseases to underprivileged families. Through collective efforts, the team accomplished an impressive 800 volunteer hours.
